The
Mass Rapid Transit subway system has
clean, fair and efficient services.
Some of the MRT stations are also
bus depots, the bus which serves as
a complement to the MRT. The MRT services
are sufficiently air conditioned and
would take you around the city in
no time. You can buy tickets ranging
from simple $ 0.80 - $ 1.80 or default
with a stored value fare to $ 10 by
which you can take several rides.
The ticket distribution machines are
located at each station just beside
the main doors. You can also find
money changing machines to change
your paper currency coins. To enter
platforms tickets must be inserted
into the slot in the door, after which
they will open.
The MRT operates on two axes, one
on Marina Bay Jurong East and other
Puris Ris to Boon Lay. The service
hours are 5.30 am to 24 noon.
The stored-value card known as Transit
Link map is available at MRT stations
and can also be used for the SBS and
TIBS services. Transit Link Guide

available at MRT stations, bus depots
and major bookstores.
