Location

 
The Republic of Singapore located at the extreme south of the Malaysia peninsula is located in the north of the equator. The entire territory of Singapore consists of the island of Singapore and fifty-eight islets. Singapore is in the Singapore Strait between Indonesia and the Straits of Johor between Malaysia. The diamond-shaped island has a vast coastline of 193 km. 50% of the territory includes urban areas while 40% of it is covered with parks, reservoirs, plantations and open military areas.

The main city of Singapore is situated on the banks of the Singapore River and the entire nation is filled with high density. Singapore has an area of 699 square meters km and is considered one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Singapore is among the countries of Malaysia and Indonesia.

The colonial district lies north of the Singapore River and is considered a wonderful place that offers an overview of British rule. A few miles further north, is the city of Little India and Central Business District (CBD) to the south shore of the Singapore River. Jurong that lies to the west of the island is an industrial zone. The area is dotted with a number of tourist attractions. Some of the oldest residential neighborhoods, a beautiful beach park and the international airports are located on the east coast of the city. Immense number of thriving housing can be seen in the northern part of Singapore.

The north central part of the island is mostly filled with sub-plots and the remaining forests of Singapore. 2% of land in Singapore consists of farmland
