International Schools

Education is the best thing that you can give to a child and it becomes more important for expatriates to provide education for their children. Singapore is a country with residents of many nationalities who remain with their families and there are many international schools established to choose from.

These international schools impart the same system of education to the child which is followed in the country of origin of parents. This helps to imbibing the culture and traditions of the country of origin and also makes the child feel comfortable in the middle of the people of his own nationality.

It becomes very important to check the schools before taking the final decision. It is necessary to verify the curriculum followed, the subjects taught, the school strength in relation to the number of students and teachers, the emphasis on physical education and sport facilities provided, the number of languages taught in schools

Admission trial:
Most schools are registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE), and are allowed to follow the curriculum of their country of origin. From the age of 5 years, a typical student goes to 2 years of kindergarten, 6 years of primary school, 4 or 5 years of high school, 2 years of Junior College leading to the GCE A-Levels, and 3 or 4 years of university education.

After applying to the school of their choice, students must undergo a placement test, and then the school will issue a letter of acceptance (LOA). The LOA is valid for two weeks after it is issued, during which the admission formalities should be completed. A donation of $ 500 S must be done to fund education. It will be an additional advantage if the student knows the English language.

Fees Structure:
Grades below S = $ 4,600 to S $ 14,000
Classes above S = $ 6,000 to S $ 18,000
