Singapore is a place that offers several options for entertainment to its visitors and residents of this country. Cineplex’s in Singapore are an important section of entertainment available in this city. There are several Cineplex’s in Singapore and there are major operators in Singapore who own groups of Cineplex’s in Singapore. These operators are

Shaw Organization Cineplex

Tan Sri Runme Shaw founded the Shaw Organization in 1924. In Singapore, the Shaws placed on the Alhambra Beach Road.

The Alhambra became the first cinema in Singapore which is air conditioned and have played films like Errol Flynn’s Robin Hood fills sessions. In the late 1980, it began managing their largest project to date. Completed in 1993, Shaw House is a project of 22 floors located in the city. The building includes 5 floors of shops and restaurants operated by Isetan, 12 floors of offices and the Lido Cineplex. The Cineplex has been transformed from five to eight complexes by 1997. Today, Lido is by far the most popular film on the island, which represents the largest share of box-office pie.

To take advantage of the growth market of electronic commerce, Internet ticketing was launched in December 2000. To complete the experience of cinema in progress - Movie Bites - was set up to exploit the concessions in cinema. The concession will serve a variety of favorite movies with popcorn, nachos, hot dogs, ice cream, cappuccino ice cream and soft drinks.

Cathay
Created July 18, 1935 by the late Dato Loke Wan Tho, it was Singapore’s First Air-conditioned cinema with comfortable armchairs. It was also the first home theater to present American and British photos after it was reopened after the war.
The Cineplex’s in two places are Causeway Point and Cathay Cineleisure Orchard. The Cineplex at Causeway Point opened in 1999 and has ten rooms, while that of Cineleisure Orchard has twelve rooms.

Cinemania (Simulation Theatre)

The Eng Wah Cinemas was created by Mr. Eng Wah Gog in the post-war days and is famous for screening adventurers Chinese epics and blockbusters. It operates multiplexes as the Jubilee EW, EW Sun Plaza, Suntec EW, EW Toa Payoh, EW West Mall, EW and the empress.

Golden Village Cinemas
